Tim: This is much needed. I have wonder also the framework and history of the movement on social media. I have questions (I teach College research writing, so I ask questions all day long!)

Are you looking for anything specific from victims and/or advocates?

Are you pursuing surveys and interviews and/or content that has already been published?

Are you looking at the history of the social media advocacy groups in order to lay out a timeline of the movement?

Are you making a list of social media advocacy groups around the country?

Are you looking at assessing (unclear as to how that might be done) the social media groups as to their "success" or not?

My questions are still broad, but I am just trying to get a feel for where you are going. Thank you for doing this.

Douglas

(My interest is I started a social media advocacy work in 2015, called "Is It Enough". I have spent this time talking and writing to other groups, mostly on social media.)

Thanks for writing. I will attempt to address your questions.

Please note a lot of the questions can be answered by visiting my website https://standupspeakup.org/

1. I have been an activists and advocate fighting sexual abuse for 29 years.

2. I have no surveys. I do have first hand interviews.

3. I have ten or more primary sources and a couple dozen more in my manuscript so far.

4. I have a 50 page bibliography. Database of 240 national survivor organizations. Etc.

5. I have timelines on sexual violence, founding of national survivor organizations, timeline of my advocacy work, etc.

6. I have extensive contacts with media nationally and internationally. I focus on national media not individual social media. I have presence in all, IG, FB, Twitter, etc.

7. I believe social media is one element in the fight to end sexual violence.

My website provides a world of resources.

Best,

Tim
